During the open days we were the first to show the new and biggest HPX drive.
The new HPX has been established through intensive cooperation between Rigter's Handelsonderneming and Kinshofer.
In more than two years, Gerard and Kees have been driving up and down to the Kinshofer factory in Germany to consult,
test, and make adjustments. Last year, a HPX drive with re-handling clamshells has been tested by a number of customers
and the comments are only positive.

The new HPX drive is now ready for production and the first will be delivered in the shortly. The benefits of the new HPX
are that they have an internal self-lubrication system, which means it is maintenance-free, the traditional cylinders are
no longer present. The engineer won’t lubricate for so many hours but can continue working on the crane. Another great
advantage is the HPX drive can be used with variable shells. Within a couple of minutes, the shells can be exchanged for
dredgers, wood grippers, etc. At the moment, we are making several types of shells that can be attached to the new HPX drive.
On request of our customers, this range can be expanded.

An additional advantage is maintenance on the equipment is required, there can be worked with another set of shells and it
does not require the whole grab for maintenance. The maintenance can even take place on site. This is much cheaper than
needing/renting another gripper when maintenance is needed.

As a Rigter Handelsonderneming, we are proud of the product and that we had such a big contribution. We think that the new
HPX drive will be of great value to our customers because the equipment be widened with less maintenance.
