First of all, best wishes to everyone and a healthy and pleasant 2022.
However, I would like to solve a problem with you.
Many companies require personnel: mechanics, crane operators, drivers and so on.
And many of these companies probably also have a sign that says no to children allowed.
But therein lies the solution.....
I myself have been refused or warned several times in recent years that I was not allowed to go on the site with Bram, Duuk or Danique, while I am more careful with my children than anything else.
These companies do not realize that these are the mechanics, crane operators and drivers of the future.
I'm all for safety and rules, but with these rules we'll never get them with a shovel in their hands again.
Today's youth do not know how beautiful it is to work in our profession.
All security experts and insurance companies make this difficult.
In Belgium there is time at all schools for excursions from young to old, I regularly come across a class of kids with helmets and vests at the construction site or recycling companies.
All well supervised and all taken care of down to the last detail, let's do this in the Netherlands too.
Ask primary schools to visit all companies once. From bakery to shoe store, from farm to hardware store, the future is for the youth, but they must be able to see what is beautiful, let’s fix it.
Let children see and experience something responsibly, we work with large Playmobil that will fascinate them…
